NOW, EASIER ACCESS TO SERVICES FOR OLDER ADULTS
The YM&YWHA of Washington Heights and Inwood, the Jewish Community Council of Washington Heights and Inwood, the Riverdale YM-YWHA, and the Hebrew Home at Riverdale have created a unique partnership called The Hudson Community Project: Safe at Home.
It combines our agencies resources, expands the geographic scope of our services-and streamlines the way we provide them. The result-older adults can receive a more comprehensive selection of services aimed at helping them maintain their independence and make living at home more comfortable and secure.

Case Management - Housing Advocacy - Kosher pantry - Kosher meals - Social Adult Day care - In-home support - Health Maintenance - Rehabilitation - Transportation
If you or your loved one is in need of minor home repair or installation of safety bars in the bathroom please contact Sarah. This service is free of charge to homebound elderly who are unable to perform minor home repairs by themselves. Volunteers will install grab bars and handrails, hang photos, help take down/put up curtains, and no-skid decals in the bathroom. Other types of work can be considered on a case by case basis. Those who take part in the program are required to provide the necessary parts or materials needed by the volunteers. Donations are appreciated.
