Russian Cultural Programs

The Music and Art school enrolls children ages 3 to 14. Professional instructors provide group and individual music instruction and lead drama classes in Russian.

The Émigré Services department has created a variety of cultural programs so clients can discover New York City and become comfortable with all that it offers. Music Club members enjoy free or low cost concerts at Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall. Talented professional musicians are showcased in Y performances.

We mail a monthly newsletter/calendar with information about all events, programs and department services to all clients and participants. Once a year,we publish an English/Russian magazine called Russian Street which has contributions from members of the Russian writer’s club. Jewish culture and holiday programs are scheduled to allow participants to discover and strengthen ties with their heritage. We offer programs centered on Jewish education such as a model Shabbat observance and trips to Jewish institutions in New York.
