Jon was born and raised in Buffalo, NY. After graduating from Penn State University and a yearlong stint in France where he taught English to highschoolers, Jon moved to New York in 2011. Since moving, he has worked exclusively in informal youth education and development. He was a sports educator at the New Country Day Camp of the 14th Street Y before spending a year at Manhattan Youth, a community center in TriBeCa. During his time at MY, he served as assistant director of a middle school after school program. He's been at the Y since May of 2013 and has had the opportunity to serve our community's youth while overseeing our Nursery Elective Classes, Birthday Parties, and now the Be Me: After School Program and our youth sports programming (most notably, the amazing Hudson Cliffs Baseball League). Jon received his master's degree in Urban Affairs at Hunter. Outside of the Y he likes checking out new restaurants in the city, rooting on the Buffalo Bills, or going for an evening jog through Inwood Hill Park. He loves being a part of this community and working everyday to provide memorable and fun experiences for our youth.
