Special Needs Coordinator, Self-Contained

Deena comes to the Y with over thirty years of experience working in early childhood, Jewish education, and special needs programming. Most recently, she was Director of Education and Community Programs for six years at MATAN: Jewish Learning for Every Child, where she developed and oversaw educational and recreational programs for children with special needs at various Jewish community centers and synagogues in the New York area.

Deena received a dual BA. in Educational Psychology and Jewish Studies from Yeshiva University. She completed her Master’s in Developmental Psychology at Yeshiva University’s Ferkauf Graduate division, and a post-Master’s Professional Diploma in School Administration and Supervision at Long Island University.
