I have spent over 25 years in Jewish overnight camps which made me an expert in traditional and experiential Jewish education and in bringing the feel of camp wherever I go! I specifically do this through music. I play the guitar and ukulele for purposes of getting others to sing and can also beatbox! Jewish camp turned me into a Jewish educator before I knew I was interested. Jewish education taught me to appreciate both the simple and complex challenges that face us and not to take anything for granted. I believe that if Jewish learning isn’t both, serious and FUN, you’re doing it wrong! I am the director of our Jewish caravan program, program manager of the Be Me: After School Program electives for nursery kids, coordinator of Birthday Parties at the Y and a Y Nursery School father. This summer was my first time at day camp since I was a day camper myself at the JCC in Scranton PA, as the director of Specialist Programming for Camp Yomawha. My experience as a group facilitator, song-leading skills, my gaga and Ultimate Frisbee acumen make me a walking embodiment of what kids wait for all year!
