Stephanie has worked with children with special needs for over ten years. She received her bachelor's degree from the University of Washington, where she focused on children with developmental disabilities. Upon graduating, she created a comprehensive analysis of inclusion programs throughout multiple countries. This experience inspired her to pursue graduate school at Teacher's College, Columbia University, where she studied disability issues globally and was able to work directly with an educational organization in Indonesia helping them create a pilot program to train teachers on special education. Prior to starting as the Inclusion Coordinator, Stephanie taught Social Skills classes in the Y's Be Me after school program and at Sunday Funday, and she was part of Camp Twelve Trails' integrated team.
