Toni Shy, the Program Director for the Hudson Community Project: Safe at Home, comes to the Y with a background in social service and management. An ordained rabbi, Toni was the spiritual leader of two congregations for fifteen years, earning the New York Board of Rabbis Chaplain of the Year Award. A licensed clinical social worker, Toni has been helping individuals and families in New York for the past five years. Of note was the significant role she played in helping families in the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy. Today, Toni says she spends her time caring for her two families: her eight children, their spouses and offspring, and her clients in the Safe at Home program.
